We’re excited to share our latest project video featuring Bank Independent’s new Team Campus in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The four-story, 97,000-square-foot building was designed to feel welcoming, energizing, and unmistakably Bank Independent.
A home away from home for Bank Independent’s team
Bank Independent is a community bank, and serving its community has always been the top priority. Investing in its own people is part of that mission.
As Hallie, VP of Community Banking Initiatives, shares in the video, team members spend more time at work than they do at home. The bank wanted the Team Campus to feel like a “home away from home,” a place where people feel supported, proud to work, and energized to give their best every day.
That goal shaped every decision, including the furniture. A modern workplace encourages people to get up from their desks, move around, and work in the spaces that fit them best. The furniture has to support that kind of flexibility while carrying the brand into every corner of the building.
Bringing Bank Independent’s brand into every space
ORI has partnered with Bank Independent on many past projects, so our team already knew the bank’s brand and vision well. That made us a natural fit for the ancillary furniture, the pieces where so much of a company’s personality comes to life.
When the design team visited ORI in Huntsville to share their color vision, our team jumped right in, pulling options off the shelves until the full furniture palette came together. Each of the building’s four floors draws inspiration from a different season:
- First floor: Spring
- Second floor: Winter
- Third floor: Fall
- Fourth floor: Summer
Together, they give every level its own personality while keeping the whole campus connected. The final package included soft seating throughout the building, reception areas, café seating, and outdoor furniture on several floors.
You’ll also hear how ORI, interior designer ASD | SKY, and Bank Independent worked together to keep the project aligned and on schedule, with the quality and attention to detail the bank expects in everything it does.
