A hospital waiting room is more than just a place to sit. For Pavilion A at UK Healthcare, it needed to be a sanctuary—offering comfort to patients and families during some of their most difficult moments while also accommodating busy doctors and nurses passing through.
By spending time in the space, observing how people moved, and listening to what they needed, we helped UK Healthcare reimagine what a waiting room could be. Soft lighting, calming colors, and seating designed for long-term comfort make this a space that truly supports its users. Whether it’s a quiet moment for a worried family member or a quick break for a surgeon between cases, Pavilion A delivers what people need when they need it most.

“Our approach for the Pavilion A Surgery Waiting Room was rooted in empathy. The design supports everyone—from someone waiting for hours to a doctor stopping by for a quick break. It’s a space that feels welcoming while working hard to serve its users.”
