General Responsibilities

The Sales Influencer – A&D is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with architects, designers, specifiers, and developers. This role focuses on understanding project needs, promoting ORI’s products and services, and influencing specifications to drive sales growth. The primary region of focus is the state of Kentucky.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build long-term relationships with architects, interior designers, and developers in the Kentucky A&D community
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships with A&D firms and specifiers
  • Act as the primary connection between the ORI sales team and the A&D community
  • Achieve sales results through influence and specification within targeted firms
  • Utilize deep product knowledge to align solutions with client needs and project goals
  • Support specification writing by providing technical details and guidance to design teams
  • Track ongoing design projects to identify and follow specification opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with the ORI sales team to support project execution and close sales
  • Attend weekly networking and social events to build brand awareness and client connections
  • Deliver targeted presentations and host showroom experiences for A&D professionals
  • Provide timely, professional support to clients and respond to technical inquiries
  • Represent ORI as a leader in the A&D community, aligning with team goals and market strategy

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the architectural and design industry, including design processes and project phases
  • Experience in consultative selling and relationship-driven sales
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Technical knowledge of commercial furniture, architectural products, or building materials
  • Comfort with CRM systems for managing client relationships and project tracking
  • Active involvement in professional A&D associations and local networks
  • Interior Design or related post-secondary education preferred
  • High organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage within an assigned expense budget
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region and occasionally beyond
